Welcome to Ol' Texas. We've tried right hard to make
this Mall "sumthin' dif'ernt." A heap of real nice folks are offerin' more "Goods
'N Stuff than ya'll can shake a stick at." Helpful information "'bout
hap'nins, shindigs, doin's 'n such"--real easy to get around in---to find the
"needful things."
But most of all, we wanted to make this mall just plain FUN. If you can make folks chuckle
for a change, they'll remember---and come back.
We're a lot like our grand-paws. They believed in an honest day's work for an honest day's
pay, and we "jest got pure de stuck with'it." We'll do our derndest to make this
site is the busiest mall in Houston. So give us a "holl'r"---we'll be pleased as
pie to tell ya'll the great reasons why your store, links or Yellow Page ad should be
"rat cher.".
In the next few weeks we'll be adding at least two contests; one to please
the wimmen-folk and another that will plain reach out and grab jes' 'bout everyone. Check
back and take a look.
Oh, by the way—we was told that this here picture is of a group of old-time Texas
Rangers. The other day, some old coot swore'd it was the Bass Gang. Ta tell the
truth, we're not right sure. Since the old Rangers didn't have uniforms, (and
they were a real rough bunch) it must have been hard to tell the good guys from
the outlaws. White hats came a lot later.
